What are dermal fillers?
At Heber Davis we use only naturally occurring smooth gel fillers that are identical the support structures of our skin. Over time, and in response to the stresses and strains of daily living, our natural skin supports gradually breaks down, resulting in sags, wrinkles and hollowing under the eyes. Treatment with fillers simply replaces what’s been lost, naturally and instantly, leaving your under eye area looking refreshed and more youthful.
Because these dermal fillers are natural gels, they are biocompatible, non permanent, rarely cause reactions and can be easily dissolved if required.
How do dermal fillers treat under eye hollows, dark circles and bags?
Tiny amounts of dermal filler are placed in the hollowed or darkened skin beneath the eyes, effectively ” filling in” eye hollows and restoring volume to create a smoother, more youthful transition from the eyes to the cheeks. Because dark circles are often the result of shadows thrown on the tear trough, or of underlying blood vessels showing through this thin skin, lifting and filling the trough effectively eliminates discolouration.
How long will my result last?
Results can be expected to last from one to several years. Because under eye fillers are placed deeply, they are not subjected to the stresses, strains and movement that break down fillers in other areas of the face more quickly.
How do I look after treatment?
Because the under eye area is particularly delicate, temporary redness, swelling and/or bruising can often occur, and should be factored into your plans for the days following your treatment. See aftercare recommendations.
What is the cost?
Usually one syringe of filler is sufficient to treat both under eye areas. From $400.
