Around the world and here in Sydney, lip enhancements are becoming more and more popular, thanks in part to celebrities like Kylie Jenner who not only have one of the more envied pouts in Hollywood, but who has also made no secret of the fact that she has opted for a lip enhancement.
Lip enhancements, which involve getting microinjections of dermal (natural gel) fillers, will improve the size, shape and symmetry of your lips when carried out properly. Because the dermal fillers need to be strategically placed in small amounts and in various points for the best result, having an experienced and reputable cosmetic practitioner is key.
Of course Kylie Jenner isn’t the only celebrity who has had lip enhancements. Here are some of the other stars who have also had a little help in that department:
1. Kylie Jenner
Kylie Jenner has admitted on Keeping Up With the Kardashians that she has had lip enhancements, saying: “I have temporary lip fillers. It’s just an insecurity of mine and it’s what I wanted to do.”
2. Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga once told Howard Stern that she went through a phase where she was “really obsessed with getting facial injections”, but wait till you hear where she got her lip enhancements done!
“We would drive to this strip mall and I would get shot up with a bunch of whatever, Juvéderm, and then leave,” she said. “Now all the stuff is gone.” Not recommended, folks!
3. Jessica Simpson
Did you know that back in 2005, when Jessica Simpson was in her mid 20s, she got lip injections? She’s spoken about her lip enhancement, calling that period an experiment and saying it only lasted for about four months, but we wouldn’t be surprised to hear she’s been going back for more every now and again.
4. Megan Fox
Has Megan Fox had lip enhancements? The actress might not have publicly admitted to getting lip enhancements, but photos of her seem to suggest that might have been the case.
5. Jennifer Hudson
Jennifer Hudson has gotten lip enhancements, but it wasn’t for the reason you think. She once admitted to Oprah Winfrey that she had to get lip injections because a dent in her lip was affecting the lighting on her face when she filmed Dreamgirls.
“When I did Dreamgirls I actually had to get my dent right here injected because it was affecting the lighting,” she said. “And when I got it done the doctor was like, ‘I do not want to do this, do you realise people come in here and pay to have the lips you have naturally?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t want to but I have to for the movie!’”
